Answers:
yes! your insurance should cover you damages minus your deductible, as a collision claim. name your agent
Yes, that's exactly why you pay insurance!
My mother be in a really bad sports car accident last year beside medical bills exceeding $80,000 and the girl who hit her was 19 and on the state auto insurance program, so my mom's insurance had to foot the entire bill.
Insurance companies are seedy for not wanting to pay up when you need them. Let me guess, Nationwide?
drive to the insurance company, and slam into a dozen cars
If you have full coverage and uninsured motorist, then you are still covered even if they can't find the other deputation. Thats why you pay those high premiums. Call them posterior and tell them you want your car fixed in a minute, be ugly, be nasty beside them. Argue til the cows come home but make them pay it.
Yes, your insurance company should recompense for your car to be repaired. It is up to the insurance company to find the responsible person to be reimbursed.
Unfortunately, you might own to get an attorney. I know someone in this situation and she have to get an attorney and the attorney is suing the responsible person plus her insurance company. The point of insurance is for you not to be inconvenienced when these things start. So if the responsible person does not pay, your insurance company is suppose to steal care of you (because you have be paying them, forever) when needed.
Keep a record of all expenses you own incurred and the letter your insurance company send to you for official purposes.
Best Wishes!
