Should I give the name my insurance company?

Last fall I hit a raccoon really hard and it ruined my front spoiler and my radiator, the reduce to rubble was under my deductable so I arranged to just buy the parts on my own. Since I don't drive the car surrounded by the winter I parked the car over the winter I decided to only just put the car into storage and buy the parts in the spring, so I bought the parts, installed them and presently I found out that my motor is ruined from the car overheating after I hit the raccoon. and its going to cost a ton of money to get everything fixed on this vehicle. Would I be able to claim something like this even though it happen 6 months ago?

You can turn the claim in & explain what you wrote here, but you may have to run it one step further and prove the overheating is a direct result of hitting a raccoon. If you can do this, you're golden.
I hope you have be with your company a long time. Often adjusters are very TIGHT and will not resembling that you have sat on this. Claim it ASAP. If you hold an agent pose this question to him/her first. But given you have lots of impair, what else can you do? Your explanation is reasonable to me ie not driving in the winter. Ck your policy to see if you have the duty to let them know within a lasting claim filing period. Take exactness of ASAP since you are near to 6 months. Who knows, that might be your claim reporting boundary.
Dont even mention the extra 4 miles to your house. It hopefully isnt even relevant.
Well the damage caused by hitting the animal would hold been covered. The damage that occured as a result of this could include the motor mess up, however your insurance company is very likely to lift up the defense that you did not mitigate (prevent them from becoming worse) your damages when you failed to let them know timely as required by your policy and provide the vehicle to them for inspection. In add-on when you kept driving it and it got worse you contributed to the damage. It won't hurt to send for them, but be ready, especially if there is no proof that this happen as a result of hitting an animal. Source(s): claims person 16 years
I cant imagine your motor is ruined after 4 miles, but i'm no mechanic. Where and how did you get it to storage? My feelings is it wouldnt be covered because you should have been competent to tell if it got that hot; a fluffy or smell?? They would probably pay for the other damage lower than comprehensive; maybe no deductable.
