Looking for an insurance company who'll insure a property artificial by slight movement?
I live in Scotland and am due to move house next week. I'm have problems finding an insurance company who will insure the house due to the survey stating "the property has been artificial at some time in the past by some movement..." though subsequently they say ..."the movement is in our judgment comparatively longstanding as there is no evidence of any recent/continuing movement".
Does anyone know of a "high street" insurance company that will insure the property? I don't want to move about to a specialist as no doubt they'll charge an arm and a leg.
Thanks.
Answers:
You will have a problem near this,it is normally mining subsidence and insurance companies are loath to even touch it.good luck near it,but i hold not much hope.
Try Norwich Union = they have a reputation for insuring anything (NB. of course, it will cost an arm & a leg ..)
