You particularly need to speak to your agency & report the accident to them, so you enjoy the backing of your agency. ALso if you have a police report that usually help also. I am a licensed insurance agent in State of Florida...good luck!! Source(s): licensed agent contained by Fl.
Yes, other. You should have notified them first item. Refer their insurance company to yours.
Hiya:

You CAN verbalize to your insurance company first but no matter what...regardless of who you talk to first...you ARE going to own to talk to the other person's insurance company.

I am assuming that the other person is at defect here.

If YOU are at fault? Calling your insurance company should be a priority. (Notice is actually a requirement of your policy)

Goodluck(a)
