Insurance company and coup¨¦ fluke?
alright heres the deal..
in january of this year i crashed my truck into a receiver pole during the ice storm MA had. my truck get pretty messed up on the front end but it was and is still driveable. I go and got a few estimates that all field around 2000-2500 dollars worth of damage and labor.
I didn't go and get hold of it fixed right away because i figured that in time I'd afford it and things would change.
Well it is now June almost July, my inspection is due by december, and my truck is still the same. I hold recently found out from my mechanic that the inside is worse than we thought and that the damage is worth more than the price of the truck.
so beside that said my question is....
I'd like to walk through the insurance now (as instructed by my mechanic) to get the vehicle totalled and get the money to buy another car or truck.
I want to know what it is I'd hold to say or explain to the insurance company that will allow me to get through this minus them turning me down or not insuring my vehicle..
Please serious answers only since this is a major problem right presently.
Thanks for everything!

Just file a claim and tell the truth. If you flop, you can be charged with insurance fraud.
http://www.AutoInsuranceEstimate.info Has a form you just crawl in and it shows you different rates from different auto insurance companies. Go with which one is the most minuscule expensive. That's what I did. Source(s): http://www.AutoInsuranceEstimate.info
If you had collision coverage at the time of the accident - dance ahead and report the claim. Give the correct date of loss and facts about what happened.
If they ask why you wait so long to report the claim - tell them the truth - that you were trying to gather up to pay for the damage out of pocket and expected to hold the money to do so by now. But you just own not been able to rescue up enough and are having to turn it into your collision coverage.
If you have collision coverage on the date of loss - filing a claim and being salaried for the damage should not be a problem.
If you did not have collision coverage on the date of the disaster and are trying to get coverage after the fact....you do hold a problem. And any lies, deceit to get insurance coverage when you did not hold it at the time of the accident is insurance fraud...a crime. Source(s): Insurance Adjuster 12 years
file the claim and turn from there//what can happen they either pay cheque or they dont//you have no choice//get your selling face out of the closet and flog them
