How does the insurance company? ?
View skidding on ice? Is it still your fault if you bump someone when you skid on rime? My little brother had an accident yesterday and is worried his insurance will blame him, he's babyish, and it's already close to lb1000 per year.
Answers:
Of course he (or his insurance) is responsible. I've never heard of trying to gain the ice to pay for damages.
Third shindig, fire and theft covers ONLY those aspects of the vehicle. A skid is generally described as 'driver error'. A skid doesn't only just happen, IT WAS CAUSED by the driver not using proper control. Source(s): 30 years a cop
This will all depend on who the insurance company deem responsible.
just because he collided near them doesn't mean he's in the wrong.Unless the coupé was stationary of course. The plea that your insurance company tell you not to admit liability at the scene of an chance is because you may be wrong. If the car pulled out from a side road for example and your brother broke but due to the ice continued and hit the vehicle it would still be the other drivers scorn. In saying that without independent witnesses they would usually do a 50/50 split. In these circumstances your brother would enjoy to pay his excess but have his vehicle repaired. If they find against him he will pay the excess but as he is not fully comprehensive they would not fix his car.
