I actually answered in a similar whim, then read what she wrote, and erased mine. LOL
1st off if you sustained no injuries, no advocate will take.
You need to enjoy the owner of the car you were driving to profile a claim on HIS policy, or he can file a claim with the AT FAULT INSURANCE COMPANY.
At that time, the adjuster will grasp details of how the accident happened. If they verify that the other guy is at shortcoming, the other company will pay the OWNER of the car for his damages. You hold no right to any payment since you do not own the car.
Why do you judge you should get paid?? Did you hold injuries? If so, and if they determine the other guy is at fault and if your state allows, you might be eligible for a bodily injury settlement. But other than that, you hold no claim for yourself.
good luck
