Is This True About Insurance Companies?

Is it true that I may be required to pay more premiums or a company can refuse to pay packet in the event of accidents adjectives because I'm clumsy.

My boyfriend told me that when he broke his arm the company questioned everyone close to him to find out if he's clumsy or not. He also said that when I go to buy secure kinds of insurance (like auto) I would pay more money because I'm clumsy.

Are insurance companies really blood-sucking bastards, or is he exaggerating?
Answers:
I suggest you be grateful (insert irony here) that you get the privilege (gag) of paying high premiums for insurance because in many cases, they would simply stay away from to insure you (saying that you are apt to cost them money in the future).

To answer your question, your boyfriend is not exaggerating. Insurance companies are so slimy that they breed even lawyers look good!
Insurance companies are contained by the business of managing and diffusing risk. Therefore, it's their obligation to their shareholders, the people who in fact own the company, to minimize the company's exposure to risk.

If they have any reason to believe that you are more plausible to file a claim, they will of course charge you more money to cancel out the additional risk.

That's why so many companies refuse to write auto insurance policies in New Jersey, because they knew that they be more likely to have to reward a claim, although this was more due to fraud.
If you enjoy made claims because of damages because of your clumsiness, then yes they will charge you more. There isn't a clumsy test or a cross-examine on an insurance application I am aware. If you are making claims then your insurance rate goes up. They want to collect more than they salary so they can stay in business. If they went out of business because they remunerated more than they collected and you needed them to pay a claim, you would not be happy. Not sure if they enjoy any vampires working for them, but they won't be there from 9am-5pm when you call to achieve a quote. The whole daylight thing you know. Source(s): http://www.getgliga.com
