The answer is to make the market more competitive by encouraging individuals to buy their own plans (not acquire it through the company) and having doctors compete with respectively other for patients (list prices), reduce the doctor's costs (tort refrorm), providing tax credits for healthcare (like McCain proposed), and have private sector charities help those with serioius conditons close to cancer or other pre-existing problems.
