Ireland solitary - what is the significance of insurance company requesting copy of nct cert previously paying out?
I pranged my car and the insurace company decided it be a write off. Now, before they settle they are looking for a copy of the nct cert! I hold just discovered it is out of date. How much trouble I am contained by! I have taxed and insured the motor since this cert lapsed and noboby asked for it then.

If your policy requires a current NCT, they probalby don't have to clear the claim if you don't have a current test. Not sure of the fine points of canon in Ireland on that, but in UK if you don't hold a current test certificate you can't reasonably operate the vehicle on the road and insurance is automatically void.
