Why does my local hospital contract beside Insurance companies to do an MRI for $ 700 all the same charges me $2100?

This price difference seems a bit extreem! I am insured (individual policy) but have not met my deductable...plus the hospital and Dr's bureau did not precert the procedure. What a rip off!
