Do insurance companies require you to report every catastrophe?
Answers: No, only the ones you want them to be involved with. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
HELLO
I HAD AN ACCIDENT THAT WAS CHEAPER TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS MYSELF, AFTER LOSS OF AND BUILDING UP NO CLAIMS BONUS.
THE OTHER PARTY HAD THE REPAIR DONE NEXT DAY AND I PAID OUT OF MY POCKET.
BASICALLY IF THE OTHER PARTY IS NOT CLAIMING FROM YOUR INSURANCE THEN THEY DON'T NEED TO KNOW AS IT WON'T AFFECT YOUR INSURANCE.
UNLESS YOUR CAR IS WRITTEN OFF AS THIS WOULD HAVE TO BE NOTIFIED TO STOP VEHICLE LICENCE CHASING YOU.
You should report the claim for records only basically in case the other jamboree files a claim against you. Source(s): Claims - 21 years.
I don't know what the requirement is but unless they are paying I don't see why they would be involved at adjectives.
They don't require but we have our own means of finding it even if you don't notify us. Every time your policy renews we run your MVR and will bring up everything you've done in the past 6/12 months.
yeah, but its kinda costly, so not everyone does..
