AARP INSURANCE COMPANY?
When it comes to AARP Insurance is this supported more by Republicans or the Democrats? It is such a big company but they do bother you if they get your name and they want you to sign up for everything. Any information would be appreciated in the region of your findings.
Answers:
AARP was created to MARKET insurance. They are not an insurance company. They were originally created by the Colonial Penn Insurance Company but be broken up in the 1980's after they were covered on 60-Minutes.
There are several books at Amazon that speak about of their history. Also Andy Rooney (of 60-Minutes) tells of them in several of his books.
Bottom vein...buyer beware! It doesn't matter if you're Republician or Democrate, they want to overcharge you for insurance.
AARP is NOT an insurance company. They're a club. When you buy "their insurance", it's really Mutual of Omaha, or Liberty Mutual, or The Hartford. They refer you over to a program that they "endorse", but don't control.
