I prepaid for medical insurance and lost my assignment. Doesn't the insurance company owe me a settlement?

I lost my job in August. I carried medical insurance which be prepaid in August for September. I know this because I was responsible for enrollments. Doesn't the insurance company owe me a reimbursement since I did not use the insurance in September. In our company when you are terminated you insurance expires on the last daytime of the month you were terminated. I received my last check on 8/8/08 and medical benefit payments be extracted. Don't they owe me a refund?
Answers:
I agree. They will just donate you benefits until the end of the month that you were salaried. You didn't ask to cancel the policy, so you will be covered up through the time you were compensated.
No, because you didn't PAY the insurance company. You salaried your employer, your EMPLOYER paid the insurance company.

Your gripe is with your employer, NOT your insurance company.

Additionally, as you with the sole purpose received ONE check in August, if it covered time worked in JULY, you be actually paying for your AUGUST premiums in that check. And it's notably possible that your plan with your employer, covered you through the end of AUGUST, which would be going to, no refund is due.
They usually keep you covered until the ending of your paid-up Premium. It doesn't matter whether you used it or not, cause it be there for you to use, if needed. Make a phone call to them & ask.
