Does homeowners insurance cover an catastrophe have within the house by the homeowner?
I fell in my own home. I ended up breaaking my cheek and alot of my teeth. My homeowners insurance says anyone injured on my property will be covered. They are refusing to settle for my medical bills from the accident. They're foreclosing very soon on my house, and I devise they are stalling me, so they dont have to pay.
Well, does my insurance cover me? I enjoy all the neccesary paperwork needed. Im in Kansas. I dont own any personal insurance on myself. Wont my homeowners cover my bills?
Please help ASAP!

Sorry, but your HO policy is not going to clear for your medical bills. That is what health insurance is for.
No it won't pay. If you read your policy, it will say you hold "Medical Payments To Others" coverage. This obvioulsy doesn't include you. It doesn't include any named insured or resident of the household. That's what you have robustness insurance for. I'm sorry to tell you, but if you don't have any vigour insurance, it looks like these are going to be paid out-of-pocket. Source(s): adjuster
That's not what your homeowners says. Medical payments is a no-fault coverage for citizens who are NOT the named insured, and DON'T live in the house.
You can't collect below your own homeowners policy, because you can't sue yourself. You need to collect under your HEALTH insurance policy.
Pull out your policy, and read it. The NAME of the coverage you want to collect lower than, is "medical payments TO OTHERS". Source(s): agent, 21+ years
