16 year outdated son driving short insurance at dad's house-What are primary custodians' liability?
My husband and I have concerns about my son anyone allowed to drive with friends without person insured. I am primary custodian. His dad has custody of him on every 3rd weekend of the month and the first full week of each month. If my son is surrounded by a major accident (God forbid) where on earth occupants are killed, would someone be capable of sue us also?
Answers:
Even if he is contained by a fender bender he will get in trouble, as will the owner of the vehicle, as will the parents of the teen. So yes, everyone will be aware of the backlash of no insurance. But what is one more uninsured motorist with little driving skills going to hurt? Make one of those two idiots seize insurance. If the x cant afford it, junior will have to get out and acquire a job. If you want to play, you have to wage. If he doesn't want to pay, you will, eventually.
Yes they sure would!! And who ever owns the vehicle.. Source(s): Happened to my mom, my brother did not kill anyone but my mom have to pay 10,000 to the person he hit!!
Laws vary of course but I assume the permissible owner of the vehicle would be liable if he/she/they gave consent to use the car as very well as the parents/legal guardian if the person is a minor.
