How do I progress almost recovering the most that I can from my insurance co. my house caught burning?
I can't go in the house to itemize my damages because it's smoke
infested. How can I prove what I have when so much was burned
and some things disentegrated? I am frustrated.

hopefully you had replacement cost coverage on the on the contents ?.....you will probably hold to go room by room and try to remember what was contained by each room and list it adjectives down. my aunt went through this same thing when her house burned down and that is to say what she did. when my house burned down i lost almost everything and did not have any coverage on the contents so only the building be covered....i'm so so sorry you had to go through that...it's tricky I know...it's been 5 years for me and I still am looking for stuff I lost...it's like i remember i have that item then i think...no skulk i lost that in the fire...sorrry again and best of luck
Your insurance company probably has a flat rate for contents.
The lone things over and above that flat amount that would maybe add to it would be diamonds, etc. If you have anything of extremely high value, you should try to find the remains.
Went through a fire a few months ago... some tips...
(1) You gotta deal beside the smoke. Our entire upstairs was black, but we wrote down Everything that was upstairs. Go to Home Depot and catch a mask, gloves. Make sure to use the insurance forms, and be specific.
(2) Starting immediately after the fire, write down receipts (hotel bills, food, etc.) The fire department should enjoy told you this.
(3) FEMA makes a post-fire recovery document somewhere. If not given one, walk to www.fema.gov.
Sorry about your loss, and I will be glad to help next to additional details.
Did you hold pictures or a video tape on file somewhere? That would be really accommodating. Maybe your agent would believe you if you made a list from memory. Maybe someone in your nearest and dearest had pictures of some of your house. Maybe neighbors have visit and could vouch for the contents in your house.
You didn't hold records? Photos? Pity. Sounds like you're SOL.
