Average cost for house insurance for a trailer? (VA)?
My husband and I have been renting for years and are looking to purchase a single-wide trailer as a starter home. We're looking at 2009 models beneath $50,000. I've googled myself to death and can't find an idea of what our monthly insurance cost would be. Just a rough estimate would be nice, so we can verbs with our budgeting. Thank you!

You should call around some local agents and get some quotes. They will answer adjectives your questions and maybe you can also pick up some free warning along the way and find one your comfortable with.
Good Luck.
Hi. I worked for an insurance agency contained by Texas a couple of years ago, and we usually used Foremost Insurance Group because it was relatively inexpensive. You might want to check out their website: www.foremost.com and click on getting an estimate (quote) for a mobile home or call the 800 number. Hope this help. Good luck.
Well, you likely can't buy it by the month.
An annual cost for something close to that is going to probably run around $400. Although it can vary like wildfire, depending on where you live, VA isn't one of the high risk places.
Also you might seriously want to rethink a trailer. They depreciate down to NO value in 25 years, and later no one will give you insurance on it at adjectives. You're spending $50K on a wildly depreciating asset - kinda like living within a car. Most of the time, that doesn't include the land, any. A house doesn't depreciate, and includes land - you're better off spending your money on a house than a trailer.
