Answers:
Contents are usually considered anything that is usual to a homeowner occupancy. So, swingsets for children or small machinery used to service the insured premises even though they may be kept in an outbuilding would be considered contents. Beware, every policy is different, other ask your agent what may be specifically excluded or limited by the policy contract.
Semi what?
Homeowners policies are pretty standard. They insure contents inside and outside the house, but weather damage to outside contents is severly limited - because you departed them outside.
Contents is usually 50% to 70% of the dwelling amount.
YOUR AGENT should be the one helping you out with this, and explaining this.
Yiou obligation to contact your local agent for help with this one. Every policy is different and coverage is going to differ from state to state.
Go to whomever you have sports car insurance with and get a quote. Avoid State Farm, they are tremendously high. Farmers and All State are lower. There are probably ones that are lower yet.
First place to start is near a trusted insurance agent. Contents coverage differ with coverage so ask. Outbuildings may or may not be covered or may not have plenty coverage for whatever you have stored contained by them.
