Will it count against me if my housemate claims stale the house insurance?

My housemate and I have a house insuarance policy with both our name on; if he claims for something will it effect my premiums if I get my own policy in the practical future?
Answers:
Yes as it's joint policy,. no matter who claims, it reflect on the policy
Yes if your name is on the policy the claim stays beside you for 5 years no matter where you are living.
yes.
yes cos its only one policy and who ever claims on it the claim goes against both of you newly as if you were married
If your policy isn't clear on this, check beside your insurer.
Of course. The insurance company will examine what is being claimed, not which of the covered inhabitants are making the claim. So, a claim by one will affect both down the road.
I want a hug
Insurance's they all work under the rule , you salary your premium to claim loss or damage when times need

If you claim your policy become more expensive to re new

As for your housemate claim , he has a right , and it adjectives depends on the vaule of his claim , if in the long run if he pays for doing so

Like car insurance , if a claim is made , you lose your no claims and this is what puts the price up , and yes it whould affect you as you whould own to declare to a new company that a claim have been made on a policy in your describe , there fore they whould see you as a risk , and as such they whould put the price f the policy up
