Do I maintain house insurance until the hill forecloses?
As I wrote on here before, I am having to permit the rental house we have go put a bet on to the bank. The interest rate increased and with my robustness issues can not afford to keep it. My question is this, do I hold paying the house insurance on it or can I stop? I can not pay the house payment this month and know that it will nick the bank a couple of months to completely foreclose on it so don't know what to do about the insurance. My daughter and her household are living in it at this moment but are looking for another place to rent. Since they are still living there until the guard takes it, I am wondering if I still should keep insurance on it. Thank you for adjectives your responses since this is a difficult decision along with adjectives my health problems.

If you allow the property insurance to lapse, the mortgage company will insure the property that will cover them ONLY. It is a Force Place Insurance policy that requires no underwriting and base on the UPB (unpaid principal balance). Since there is no underwriting the premium is up to 3x the typical cost.
The FO Ins will be added to the total debt and the mortgage company will attempt to recuperate it from a successful FC sale.
I'm not tell*ing you to pay it or not... But why would put honourable money into a loss investment.
