House burned down, insurance question?!?
Ok so like i said my house burned down, State Farm said we were fully covered so be gonna get the houes back contained by 4-6 months, but i was wondering, they said everything was covered, including adjectives of our stuff that was inside. So will they just offer us money equivalent to what we said we had or are the going to order everything themselves. cuz ego rather have a hot laptop or an iPhone than some of my old stuff i had until that time. Oh and we told them some things we had that we wanted to be on the most big things list so they would order those things first and they said they would grasp that stuff ASAP, but how long would that be cuz i cant stand a couple more weeks without my xbox or iPod

They will give you the money.
It's possible that State Farm will actually order the stuff for you, but unlikely. I suggest you ask State Farm for an mortgage for contents. They will usually do that, and you can buy your immediate needs.
As to the rest, you will probably obtain the money. Hold onto your receipts, as they won't pay you full value up front, but when you grant them the receipt, they will reimburse you up to the complete cost to replace with similar feature.

They'll give you change...but you may have to request more, let me explain:
State Farm will pay envelope you a depreciated value for your stuff. Let's say you bought your Xbox two years ago for $400. They will pay cheque you a depreciated value because the Xbox was two years prehistoric and no longer as valuable. So let's just read out they give you $250. However, if you have replacement cost coverage you can submit them a getting showing that you bought a new Xbox (or PS3 or Wii, any kind of gaming console) and they will reimburse you any extra money you salaried above $250 up to the original price you paid for your Xbox ($400). So I don`t know you bought the Pro model two years ago, but now you can buy the Elite model with Resident Evil 5 for matching price. You'll basically get a free upgrade. You remuneration $400 for the Elite with RE5 and give State Farm the reception and they give you another $150 so they ended up paying you a total of $400. However, if they present you the original $250 and you decide only just to buy another Pro model for $300, they'll only give you an extra $50. They'll just give you the full $400 you paid originally if you spend $400 again.
So...you can get hold of new stuff (you're expected to) and they will give you up to the full price you compensated for the old stuff as long as you replace it with unusual stuff that's similar. Source(s): Agent
