OMG Homeowners insurance a moment ago cancelled!1 how nippy can i take it ?

My dad had a stroke and Ive bene keeping on track of ALL mybills but totally forgot my HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE.
I just open the bill and it says it was cancelled otnight at 12:01 am!
If cancelled they emergency payment in full - 900 bucks..
How prompt can I get new homeowners insurance ?
