Home owners insurance for a rental?
hello, does anyone know if you can get anything from homeowners insurance if you had tenats within that totally thrashed your house? I know if something was stolen or something, but what about approaching cracked windows, nasty hearth rug? Any advise is helpful..

If you hold a HOMEOWNERS policy, that means, it's owner occupied. If the owner didn't live at hand, that's insurance fraud.
If it was written as a RENTAL policy, for a house rented to others, then VANDALISM by the tenant is probably covered. But wear and tear isn't. Nasty carpet and cracked window COULD be just wear and tear.
