Which companies still enjoy Renter/Home Owner Insurance surrounded by Florida?

We have State Farm, but they no longer offer this coverage contained by the state of Florida.

We currently rent, but are hoping to buy a home in the next year so we want an insurance company that has both - preferably also with Auto Insurance!

All the companies I've gotten quotes from are any godly expensive or don't offer renter insurance anymore either!!

homeinsurance.awardspace.us - you can try this company. I one-sidedly have their home insurance cause it is cheapest surrounded by our area.
OK, you realize that Florida has the highest homeowners rates contained by the whole USA? And that the AVERAGE homeowners premium, for a $150,000 house, is around $5,000 a year - not counting flood.

You need a local agent. There are a bunch of spanking new insurance companies springing up - but I wouldn't trust that they can pay the claims, if there should be a highest hurricane hit.

The #1 homeowner writer in FL, is Citizens - the state run insurance company. That's most likely who you're going to running out up with.

It's not going to be cheap. It's FLORIDA. AND, food for thought, I just read within a trade mag that the rates are going up 10% this year, and 10% next year. The insurance companies said they needed 50% to have adequate to pay for claims, but the insurance commissioner only approved 10%.

That's why nearby aren't many - if any - insurance companies in FL - they aren't allowed to charge plenty for insurance, to break even on claims.

and . . . don't bother clicking on ANY links. They'll be trying to harvest your personal information. What you need, is a local insurance agent - or three. You can find some at www.iiaa.org.
