Will home insurance cover lost luggage?

A few days ago i attended college orientation, and lost my luggage. I think it might own been stolen because I have tried contacting my university several times, and they can't give the impression of being to find it. I had all of my clothes and other personal items surrounded by the bag. If you could please help me beside answers I would greatly appreciate it. Several hundreds of dollars worth of belongings were in the sack, and I can't afford go go out and buy a foreign wardrobe. :(
