Anyone know the proceedure for placing a claim on your home owners insurance ?
We had a hail storm and it put holes surrounded by my vinyl gutters and I think it probably did damage to my roof , I could use some latest siding but don't know if they will cover it. I'm wondering what happens when I place a claim ,thanks
Answers:
you have need of to get an estimate on repairs and then call upon your agent to find out what your deductible is if you don't know. if your damage is less than or purely above your deductible amount then you will need to settle up it yourself. if its more and you need to file the claim, after call your agent or companies direct claim line to report it. they will distribute an adjuster out to look at the damages and then he will figure what will be rewarded and how much. you will then get a check for repairs minus your deductible. Source(s): agent
You involve to call your agent (or the company directly) to file a claim. They will bearing you through the steps of filing the claim. After filing, and adjuster will come out and assess the deface. They may ask you for a repair estimate from a contractor. In most cases, they'll pay up-front on the estimate so you can pay to own the work done (instead paying for the work yourself and then getting an insurance check after).
