If you've rebuilt in a nice suburban nouns, customized, upgraded but not extravagant recently, what was your cost per sq. ft? If not, do you know how I'd find this out? Thanks.

If you don't trust your agent did it right, find a strange agent. If you don't trust that ANY agent will do it right, hire a contractor to give you a written estimate. OR, there are companies out in attendance who will, for a fee, give you a totalling. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
Ask your insurance agent to break it down for you. He or she can probably show you a replacement cost computer estimate.
Alot of insurance companies use the square footage method ($$ per sq. ft.) plus additonal fixtures, such as built-in ranges, microwaves, dishwasher, ceiling fans, bathroom fixtures, basement - finished or unfinshed, attic - finished or shortened, fireplaces, decks, porches, patios, attached garage, mat or hardwood floors, type of construction, etc.
You could probably be safe to say give or take a few $100-$200 per sq. ft., plus the above examples, depending on your specific area.
