What do I do if My Home Owners Insurance is playing unyielding orb?

I have had a house fire. The insurance company PEKIN is and have asked for me to send in my PROOF OF LOSS PACKET. I full up this out and sent it in. Now, they are wanting a hearing, this week near even giving me time to abtain a lawyer to go beside me to this event. My soon to be ex-wife who is in Tulsa is and has a advocate for her. She even has a lawyer to sustain her. I donot. What should I do? I haven't the funds for a lawyer. And to find one is about two weks to a month out. I hold called legal aid, but they donot pinch cases that aer monetary gain. (Where they aquire money for the client) I cannot help but think that something is fishey here. I necessitate a lawyer, someone who can help win this insurance and take a percentage.
Answers:
You can always hire a public adjuster, for a percentage of the claim. They work on no win no allowance basis, too.

Are they asking for a HEARING in front of a mediator? What's being heard? What's the issue here? Was this arson, are they suspecting you or the wife??

If they do suspect you or the wife, they're fully inside their rights. If you or the wife burned down the house, they don't pay. It says that right within the policy.
You need to post more details.

It sounds to me like the insurance company desires to ask you some questions and they want it tape record. You probly don't need an attorney for that.

I would contact the Department of Insurance in your state for back. A link is below. Just click on your state. Source(s): https://www.aipso.com/links.asp
