In insurance, Who would a "Home Service Representitive" work for?
The possible answers are:
1) Friendly Societies
2) General Insurance Companies
3) Lloyds
4) Intermediaries
Any help and additional information on Home Service representitives would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou
Answers:
I construe the answer is most likely to be 1). A Home Service Representative is someone from an insurance company who visits a client or potential client contained by their own home. It is much more common in duration insurance than general insurance. A Friendly Society is a life insurance company explicitly owned by its customers - kind of like a co-operative.
Are you studying for a CII exam or something resembling that? I've been studying for CII exams, and I was newly wondering if you are too, since the format of the multiple choice questions is very similar.
Home service reps work for companies and jump out to the homes and collect premium. Normally seen in energy insurance - and sometimes referred to as "debit routes."
So, I would think either 1 or 2 above. Source(s): Independent insurance agent for 27+ years
