You are going to have to stay with your existing insurance company, as I assume, they covered you up to that time you were flooded. Or, there are insurance companies that bestow it. Try a yahoo or google search "flood+insurance", this might help. Source(s): Yahoo
There are two answers to this. If you were flooded while you were uninsured, later as it's not an incident you have made a claim for under a length of insurance, you are not obliged to volunteer this information - as long as the flood has not be caused because you live in an nouns at risk to flood.
As long as the flood has not been cause because you live in an area at risk to flood, it have no relevance to any new insurance provided to you as you have not made a claim within relation to it.
The second answer is if the flood occured while you are currently insured, then your best option is to stay near your current insurers - however you can still shop around and someone else may offer a quote. You are obliged to disclose the incident however to any unmarked insurer if you have made a prior claim for the incident (successfully or otherwise), or if you live in an nouns at risk to flood (any insurer should know this anyway as they can tell from your postcode whether you live in a flood area).
Of course any way you must make sure the disrupt has been rectify before you either wish to obtain insurance or an alternative quote.
You do not however specify whether the flood has be an over flowing river, caused by a burst pipe, a hole in the roof or loose tiles, etc, or thickset rainwater.
