A relative have died within greece but they didnt hold travel insurance what will develop will she be allowed home?
A relative of mine has died while on holiday in greece (heart attack)but she never have any travel insurance?
at the moment to get her back to england the cost is over 15,0000 this amount included hospital fees does anyone no where on earth we can go to get help out we need my auntie home our family own all put money in to lift up enough but we dont have any wear close to that amount this only happened yesterday we are adjectives devasted and we just dont no what to do or who to turn to any imformation would be greatly appreciated thanks

I`m not sure that the question should be "will she be allowed home?" because it`s a thing for the family to sort out.
I think you anticipate, `will they send her home or will I have to remuneration to get her sent home.`
I don`t think anyone within Greece will pay her passage, but, consequently again, what will they do with her if they don`t pay, and you cannot afford it.
You can try to take a loan to cover the cost of 15000 whatever that is, or a friend may know how to help out, or you could have a whip-round the ethnic group and raise the money that way.
The British Government may or may not help out, but at least you can try. Also, contact your bank and explain the problem.
Does your aunt hold any property or goods to sell to backing towards cost?
Contact the British Consul in Greece, or at home, and ask them, it will not be the first time they have hear of this problem.

There is unfortunately no-one who will clear for your relative to be flown back to the UK - I think you should rob the advice of people here and enjoy a funeral in Greece, and then bring the ashes pay for to the UK.
This is a lesson to everyone who thinks they will get away next to travelling without travel insurance.
I had a relative who died surrounded by simillar circumstances. She was on holiday here (Scotland) from Norway. Sadly, the least inexpensive mode to get around this was for a relative to come and represent the own flesh and blood at her funeral. She was then cremated and the ashes taken vertebrae to Norway. I know it's harsh but you might consider looking at the costs for similar. Sorry to hear about your loss. God bless.

Try and bear up lower than the sorrow this is causing.May I suggest that provided it is not against your religious beliefs you consider cremation in Greece and return her ashes to the UK.
I suspect someone will have to salary or there will be a burial abroad. The cost of the hospital fees could come out of her estate if she have a house to dispose of or other assets....If all else fails, you could enjoy a cremation in Greece and just bring the ashes home...don't scrounging to be heartless but it would be cheaper....thats why we need insurance...but too belatedly now.

It is VITALLY important to take out insurance when travelling overseas. Explain to the Consulate that you own managed to raise some money through the ancestral and can they assist you in any way. You might want to tell to your bank in the UK to see if they could impart you a loan. I am sure under the circumstance they will be sympathetic. But I have to resonate the advice you have be given and perhaps consider a cremation in Greece to go and get your relative home.

Many (if not all) airlines confer highly reduced rates for funeral flights (for the body and for those travelling with it). Ask going on for those. Also, contact your aunt's health insurance and find out how to transfer her coverage and/or see if she have life insurance.
