The short answer is no.

The two should be completely separate. That's the point of having a LLC.

Speak with your ins agent. Umbrella policies habitually times do the same thing as a LLC when equity is smaller quantity than $1m.
why would you waste money creating an LLC for rental properties? - you have to settle up $100's in annual fees just to own the LLC, plus meetings na dother crap - rental income can go on your agenda E of your 1040 - and you don't need to be a "company" to own property and you should have liability insurance on your property to protect you anyway
