I lost my form insurance through my chore and I'm 3 months pregnant. Can a DR. deny to see me?
I have gotten since on Medicaid. the Dr. takes medicaid but wont see me because i didn';t start near him at the beginging of my pregnancy. I'm wary of clinics and dont want to go in that. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated.

That seems weird that a doc would disallow to see you even though you didn't start with him. Can you go wager on to where you started? Or was that a clinic? Maybe natter to some friends or other women at work and see if they can give you a good referral. Good Luck!
ask for a referal from your primary care physician. the doc should see you if he get all your records. i don't know why he's individual a d*ck about it. Source(s): medical assistant for ob-gyn clinic
Thats an iffy give somebody the third degree. Certainly a doctor can deny accepting new patients, as well as deny patients near certain health insurance unless they come within to his/her office as a self pay and recompense up front. I'm in a similar situation, but luckily my doctor accepts medicaid for existing patients, which I am.
Did you talk to the doctor himself or the woman surrounded by the office? Sometimes the person contained by the office says and does what she think is best but the doctor is the boss. He can decide if he will take you. Talk to the doctor himself.
no he cannot deny to see you. most doctors don't want to see you until you are 14 weeks anyway. But if he is denying you i would just look for someone else. near medicaid they usually give you a list of doctors look up their situation on-line and then give them a christen. good luck!
They can voice they have a full patient nouns. There are other doctors that accept medicade. Call the 800 number as get a inventory for your zip code.
Some office have a maximum # of medicaid patients they will accept too ~ if they've already met their "quota" they can turn you away.
If he say he accepts Medicaid but refuses to see you, I would ask that request for information. If they give you any other reason, permit your Medicaid case worker know and find another doctor ~ there is no common sense for him to deny you. Medicaid will help you find another provider if you ask them.
I did not have insurance and be self pay at the beginning of my pregnancy and be then approved for Medicaid. My doctor had no problem near making the change, and in certainty was able to settlement some of the money I had already paid.
Good Luck! Source(s): Mom of one near number two on the way!
Wow, that strange because I didn't have my prenatal work-up until I be 12 weeks so I can't see why you would be denied.
28 weeks
I've never heard of that. Call around to see if you can draw from an appt with another ob/gyn.
With your Medicaid should come a document of providers. Start calling them up and asking. You can also call the Medicaid office and they can assist you. Good Luck!
