Health insurance for diabetics within Ohio?
I guess Ohio is one of 4 states which is not required for it's insurance companies to cover diabetes. I am a type 1 diabetic, and as of now I no longer have insurance.
Does anyone know of any insurance companies who do cover diabetics within Ohio....I'm feeling kind of alarmed about not having insurance right immediately.

I would suggest getting something like a discount program instead of insurance or to use on top of insurance. I use one to be precise awesome it covers my whole household and is very affordable, give or take a few $39.95 a month for all of this

Ohio is one of the states where you may qualify for Medicaid by man "Medically needy" depending upon what assets you may have. Contact Medicaid at http://jfs.ohio.gov/ to see if you qualify and what you'd need to do to qualify.
Be greatly wary of medical discount cards. They are not regulated by the Department of Insurance nor do the people that trade them need to be licensed. This means you enjoy little recourse when you have problems with the plan. If you are tempt by the low price and claims of “save up to 80%” be aware that very few doctors actually purloin these cards. It does you little good if you have to drive 4 hours to find a doctor that will adopt the card. Montana couldn’t find any doctors in the whole state that in reality took the card and only one dentist who was on probation for unlawful endeavours so they banned the sale of the card and fined the company. Before signing up next to any discount plan get a list of doctors. If they won’t bequeath you a list consider it to be a scam. Call the doctors on the list to kind sure they’re still taking the card (many don’t even know that they’re listed as a provider) and that they’re accepting new patients.
