Respectfully, I disagree with others that mention that purchasing insurance over the net is risky. Dealing next to a well known, respected insurance company online is no different than dealing beside them in person. It sure is more convenient, and application processing times are much faster.
Here is a link to your local Blue Cross. http://www.arkbluecross.com/health_plans…
From the link you can capture a price, look over the plans at your leisure, and possibly apply. If you are more comfortable dealing with an agent, or the company directly, the website have information for this as well.
The premium will be the same whether dealing directly or through an agent. An agent surrounded by your state will be of the greatest value to you, having an insight solely those in the business would have.
Personally, I prefer dealing near clients that have done their homework first through information on my website. The vast majority apply online because they are comfortable beside the facts as presented to them online, and know that they can contact me at anytime for further information. You're more expected to get scammed if you buy off the internet. Go homily to the guy that sells you your house/car insurance, or another LOCAL AGENT. Not all companies write contained by all states, and each state have different requirements.
Health insurance costs what it costs. If you're in good condition, it's probably going to cost about your age with a nothing after it, every month. 25, $250. 35, $350. If you're NOT in good condition, or you have stuff wrong with you, it will at least possible cost more, they probably wont' cover the stuff wrong with you, and they might even flat out refuse to insure you at adjectives.
And remember, "discount plans" are NOT insurance. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
Do not try to do this over the internet. It'll take you several days to intelligently compare adjectives the plans available, and that's after weeding out the scams. Also, if you hold any pre-existing conditions that might add a rider to the policy or cause you to be decline or if you are out of the height and weight guidelines you won't know until you've applied and gone through the underwrite process.
Visit a local independent agent. The agent knows the market contained by your area and can find the best plan for your situation. The plans and premiums are exactly the same using an agent or buying directly from a company. Source(s): Independent Agent
