My Parents visit from England and strength insurance contained by the US? HELP?

My parents come to visit from England every few years and in olden times we were able to capture them a Short Term Major Medical Policy for the 6-8 Week they were in the US. Now next to there health they are most expected not going to qualify for it. Can anyone tell me how the Socialized medicine of England works if they obtain ill here in the US ( if at all) and what are some other option for them. They are scared to travel with out person covered in the US.

They'll have to check near the UK program to be sure, but I'm under the impression that "socialized medicine" isn't insurance - it's governing body health care.
