How much is a call in to the Dermatologist short strength insurance?

I've tried everything and I can't get rid of my acne. I don't have strength insurance because I've turned 19 and I only have a unpaid job and am a part-time student. How much would it cost to stir to a dermatologist and get a prescription?
Answers:
I think the pop in would be like 50 or 60 dollars, but the medication would be a lot more.
Acne drug like Accutane cost around $400 and a drop by is around $50. Get yourself health insurance before anything because you're going to lapse up wasting a lot of money.
That would be a better question to call local dermatologists and ask. Without knowing where on earth you are or what doctors are in your area, it's impossible to read out.

Whether any Dermatologists in your area hold any sliding fee scales, or whether you live in downtown Beverly Hills could engender the difference between $20 and $2,000.
Depends on what state...I think here it like 65 for an organization visit...just christen and they will let you know.
that depends on where youre going. it can rise and fall from dermatologist to dermatologist
Every docotor charges different fees for different things. I would read out the average for an office visit is between $100 to $200 because a dermatologist is a specialty doctor. Getting a prescription for acne or any presciption for that concern can be very expensive. That range really vary, but make sure you tell the derm doc that you don't enjoy any insurance and ask for samples ( if they have any). If not next make sure she writes for the generic to be filled (not brand term prescription but the equivalent). Also sometimes they give you a break on the price of the office stop by b/c of no insurance.
Just call up a few different places and see what kind of prices you seize.
The dermatologist visit is usually around 60-100 dollars. A common practitioner can also prescribe acne medication, so if you have a health clinic on campus check out that picking. If you dont have prescription insurance either, generate sure that you ask for them to prescribe a medication that has a generic available. Brand name creams can slickly be over $100 and only last something like a month. A good one to ask for is Retin-A, its generic is Tretinoin. Source(s): I'm a pharmacist.
free if you live in the uk
