Do I want form insurance for 3 days?

I am a recent college grad. My health insurance coverage under my parents plan will terminate on May 31st. I have a job (!!) beside immediate health insurance coverage that will get going on June 4th. Should I get a one month short-term plan or are there provisions in the health insurance industry should something happen during this three morning period? Or should I just lock myself contained by my apartment for the three days and take no risks?!
Answers:
Unless you have major-league ongoing health issues, of late be SUPER careful for those three days!

If you take any prescriptions regularly, construct sure they're filled by May 30th to avoid any problems.
It's your telephone call - depends on how lucky you feel. The chances of something disastrous up in that three days is low - but if it does, you could have central problems.
Unless you hold health issues, I wouldn't worry roughly speaking those 3 days. I haven't had health insurance for years. You should be fine for 3 days. There aren't that frequent health issues that you wouldn't be able to keep on for 3 days to see a doctor. For that matter, it usually takes longer than that to obtain an appointment with a doctor.

Only if something happens during the 3 days. If it be me, I'd follow the "lock myself in the apartment" plan. Although that's not an official insurance answer, LOL. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
Why take the risk? Insurance is something we own in case something happen. Short term insurance is very inexpensive and it will provide you the peace of mind to know you have coverage. Plus a lot of accident happen at home so your "lock " plan is not very authentic. In the other hand if you have any pre-existing condition you enjoy to make sure there is no gap in your coverage, a lot of companies put a time restriction for a one, two or even 5 years to cover that, but if you can prove you've have continues coverage for X amount of years it will help you get a better rate and most expected get your illness/condition cover right away
