How much does a chest X-Ray cost near no vigour insurance?
i've been experiencing pain within my chest, and i think i need a chest X-Ray. the lone problem is, my insurance papers haven't gone through yet, and they won't for about a week or two. not solitary that, but i'm not sure that my insurance will cover a chest X-Ray (i have Medi-Cal).
I used to smoke for about 4 months, and i quit pay for in February. The thing is, i smoked Hookah Yesterday, and ever since afterwards, my chest hurts when i breathe deeply. now i'm anxious that i have lung cancer, and i'm not willing to hang around for two weeks to find out.
so if ANYONE has ANY idea of how much it'll cost me to attain a chest X-Ray at the emergency room, i'd REALLY appreciate it! THANKS!

Medicare's allowed rate is right at $31 for a chest x-ray. As a self-pay patient, however, most docs will charge you around $100 near a possibility of a cash discount (must ask!). Do not go to a hospital for this if you can at adjectives help it. They will/could charge you in excess of $200.
Medicare's allowed for the reading of the x-ray is ~$10.xx. If you win the x-ray while at the doc, however, you should not have to pay extra for this. I would suggest going to a doc who can do x-rays in-house and calling for prices BEFORE anyone seen.

I can tell you that the hospital within our same town charges nearly double what we do. So, call around your area to find the best price. If you are calling hospitals, build sure you get both of their charges. They charge a professional fee (for the radiologist's reading) and a systematic fee (for the cost of the actual x-rays).
