You probably own a lousy insurance carrier.
No insurance can deny benefits as long its a
medical necessity.
I would talk to a "workers compensation" attorney
they usually work for free or at the most minuscule can help you with the newspaper work for a fee.
Because requests from people aren't considered
by insurance companies.
WHY doesn't it meet eligibility requirements? You have to reject on that basis. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
cart them to small claims court.... have fun and learn how the endorsed system works.
Well, it's going to depend on the medical condition and what you mean by "waive HIPAA."

Are you coming off of a group policy with smaller quantity than a 63-day lapse in coverage? Then, as long as the group policy was a HIPAA qualified policy, they can't waive HIPAA beneath Federal law. However, it's all surrounded by the details.

Are you working with an agent? If so, call and ask for guidance. You CAN sometimes win appeals. I once spent six and partly months helping someone win his appeal (and they covered him back to the original application date.) It can be done, but it will depend to a great point on the specific reason they've declined you and whether you hold an agent who is really willing to assist you with it. (This is why you want to work next to an agent, as opposed to going directly to the company. It's not in the company's best interest to assist you near an appeal. They've already made it clear they don't want you. An agent works for YOU as much as for the company.)

If you don't have an agent, you should really find a local one who represents the company in cross-question and see if you can get your husband's policy transferred to him/her in return for their assistance contained by the appeals process.

Good luck! Source(s): licensed agent: life & health, property & casualty
