How long does my employer enjoy to return cancelled robustness insurance premiums.?
I got married and did not renew my insurance. My employer took 1 month of premiums and has not returned it. It have been three months.
Answers:
What do you mean, you didn't "renew" it? Did you activly opt out of it? Or be it "open enrollment"? If you don't actively change something, it's still within force.
Does your employer collect in advance of the premium, or after the reality? You need to ask the EMPLOYER where that premium is, but it COULD hold been paying for the prior month's insurance. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
If you haven't put anything in writing, consequently I recommend that you send a certified letter to your employer as ably as your insurer pointing out that on such-and-such a date, you did not renew your health insurance policy. Include copies of pay stubs showing the premiums withheld and request, formally, that the company settlement the improperly withheld premium. If you don't get a response, shift to the head of your human resources department--or whoever is in charge of the insurance program at your company (not the insurance clerk but the manager of the clerk's department) and ask when you can expect to receive the refund. I suspect that your company had you on some sort of automatic renewal and that they have covered you for that month, in error. You need to enjoy something in writing to start documenting the situation and to get their attention. Mail it; don't foot deliver it. You want a return receipt documenting that they received your letter. It's adjectives about documentation.
