What in the region of strength insurance for those who aren't weak ample for medicaid & enjoy preexisiting conditions?
I am writing a paper on the uninsured populations that are not old eough for medicaid, but hold pre-existing conditions that prevent them from obtaining personal insurance. Any ideas on what their option are would be appreciated.

There are many clinics that bad sliding scale fees, depending on income, but by the time they have to receive the scripts filled, thay can't afford them so they go in need. There are some drug companys that will help patients with monthly meds. Or they can apply for a state med card but consequently they usually have a huge spend down that they cant afford........so unfortunaley, as in my mothers baggage.....they are basically screwed
Generally option are pretty limited. Even if you’ll do find policy with preexisting condition within your state here:

Most likely monthly premium will be beyond rich for most of the people.
I be (and still am) in your situation. The only alternative for me be to find a job with form coverage. Since I was kicked off from my previous employment because of my condition the only job I be able to find was at local Department Store near significant pay cut. Corporate health plan still not screening policy member for preexisting condition. So far. It just might do so in effective future.
Good luck. Source(s): http://www.healthinsurance.medgrip.com
First of all Medicaid is for the poor. Medicare is for the ederly and disabled.
People with pre-existing conditions find it difficult to find form insurance because either the insurance companies turn them down or they raise the premiums so elevated they can't afford it.
The options are practically zero unless they can afford the big premiums. There are Insurance "Discount" programs that provides certain "discounts" to various doctors/hospitals but they own their own doctors you have to go to and the discount isn't plenty to even bother with paying the premium.
Good luck on your paper! Source(s): Nurse
