Does the senate bestow robustness insurance to girlfriends of their civilian workers?
My boyfriend works for the government (Air Force, to be exact) as a civilian (NOT enlisted - intact different ball game as far as benefits are concerned). He get health insurance coverage for himself, but we're trying to figure out if the affairs of state offers health insurance coverage for significant others of civilians.

That would be nice, but no. In order to receive any benefits that the service member have, you must be considered a "dependent". You don't have to be married, but related some how. For example, sons inventory their moms as dependents. It may change, but until then you can't. Source(s): Military wife
