You could just not wage the bill ,
But the first time you have to pay a doctor lolly or need a procedure , it will be 100 times what your bill was .

Submit a Request for Change surrounded by Membership form to your insurance carrier to terminate your policy. I am not sure who give you this information (not being able to end for a year), but I completely disagree with it.
Get sick and they will do anything to get rid of you.
If your policy be bought by you, and you are paying the premium (no employer involvement) you can just stop paying it and they will cancel it....The contract be for one year, but it is just a rate guarantee for you...So just do not repay it,,,
If you got it at work, you are stuck unless you quit the job...
Agreeing with pandemicsoul, you should be capable of cancel at anytime, whether group or individual. Source(s): http://www.higginscompanies.com Arizona health insurance broker.
As someone who has be licensed as a life/health agent in two states, I have to speak I've never heard of a "contract" for health insurance. You should know how to cancel at any time.
I would suggest contacting your state insurance department. (Search for "[state] department of insurance", i.e.- "Florida department of insurance".) Call the number on their site and ask to speak with someone who can assist you next to a health insurance situation. If the company is holding you in the contract improperly, they will assist. If this is legal, they will tell you your option. Source(s): Life/Health agent license in two states.
If it's group strength, you're in it for a year.
You'll hold to quit your job, or go down to quantity time without benefits.
Are you saying that they won't agree to you cancel it for a year, or that they won't let you breed changes to the policy for a year?
You should be able to completely retract your policy whenever you want.
However, changes to an existing policy that you wish to maintain (such as raising or lowering the deductible) sometimes can only be done during the annual renewal extent. Is that the sort of "contract" that you're talking about? That you can't create changes to your policy until your next renewal term?
That's the only thing I can cogitate of that would remotely make sense in your situation - you should other be able to completely cancel a policy?
