Can I still eligible for pregnancy emergency medicaid? beside valid strength insurance?
I am in the last month of my pregnancy. My status is a court nonimmigrant alien, my husband just got duty, although it pays very small it gives strength insurance for the family with $200 copay for labor/birth.
We ponder that we need to have support for post natal supplies and wants for the baby. Do you think we can still receive and uses emergency medicaid for labor/birth near 1 year postnatal support?
Your oppinion, info and experience are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Answers:
If you already have condition insurance you cannot get Medicaid. You will have to find a process to pay for your needed supplies.
I live in Tennessee and you are automatically eligible for tenncare and the tot will have insurance for a year. As far as i know there are no copays near this insurance.
You can also go to the health department and catch WIC. It provides food for you and formula for the baby if you don't breastfeed.
And to the people that articulate "go back to your own country" and "you're the justification my taxes are so high" they can just go to you know where on earth. Hello, people...WE are immigrants. If we hadn't stolen and kill people for this land, we wouldn't hold it now.
I'll get rotten my soapbox now.
Yes, they will bill your insurance first, and then bill Medicaid for what your insurance doesn't cover. Apply ASAP because it can take a while to process. It took me four months to attain on Medicaid because they turned my first application down - they wanted a doctors note that I be really pregnant, a note from planned parenthood apparently wasn't plenty!
am not sure what state you live in but contained by FL any PREGGO woman is eligible for Medicaid
well i would have said yes if you where on earth in early stages of pregnancy but where on earth you are in your last month i do not know newly call your local health clinic and ask them but if you do win a medical card then you will still have to put your insurance as your leading insurance and then you will put the medical card as your secondary insurance and that one should cover adjectives your co-pays and stuff like that best of luck.
You just have a $200.00 copay explicitly pretty good. I don't understand what you are truism you need money for.
