How can a married (and pregnant) couple achieve great strength insurance within Massachusetts?
We make pretty decent money but they rob you of anything money you saved for rent! I don't wanna deal beside losing so much money and the fact that a baby is contained by the mist kinda gets me itchy. Again How do I get the best form insurance for my family? If not me then Only her and the toddler?
Answers:
#1. you need insurance, or that baby will cost thousands to hold.
#2. you need to make sure that the insurance companies don't enumerate pregnancy as a pre-existing condition, and reject her.
#3. search around. hurry.
Ok...here is the deal. If your employer offers GROUP form insurance her pregnancy will be covered. If you are buying private insurance her pregnancy will not be covered, she will need to attempt to get Medicaid or if you spawn too much look into something like Maternity Card.
Private health plans consider pregnancy pre-existing and pre-existing conditions are not covered by these types of plans. With group vigour plans pre-existing does NOT apply, and pre-existing conditions will be covered.
Also, a family plan (private ins) would have cost $767. Instead we respectively have our own plan, mine is $208, hubby's $167, daughter's $137, best part is my daughter's is the cheapest because of her age and she have phenominal coverage! My private ins. is not covering my pregnancy, we are using Maternity Card.
Others will answer differently, but I am correct 100%.
The cost of living in MA is a bit high (believe me, I know, we live contained by Boston) but we do have great health insurance available to us near maternity coverage as well as infertility coverage from most plans. I would check beside your employer - we are through Blue Cross/ Blue Shield New England.
Good luck!
