There are hundreds of plans available. You should call or visit a local independent agent that works beside the major plans in your nouns. The agent can find a plan that's best for your situation and budget. The plans and premiums are exactly the same whether you use an agent or not. Since you are mostly healthy you may want to consider a high deductible plan that allows your doctor visits and prescriptions for a co-pay without jamboree your deductible. The deductible will come into play if you have to go into the hospital. The agent will also be capable of explain more fully. Source(s): Independent Agent
The university should have its own insurance plan. In Illinois, full-time university students are required to have condition insurance, so every university does have some plan. At my university it is about $450 a semester.
