What are my vigour insurance option if my employer go out of business?
I was terminated, (no fault of my own and I am getting severance benefits) and was in the process of applying for COBRA when the company I have worked for went out of business. The general rules of COBRA state that if the company no longer provides robustness insurance, then you cannot get COBRA. What other option do I have? Does the ARRA act furnish me any options? (Through ARRA I was going to achieve my COBRA coverage for way cheaper, that is why I be going to do COBRA.)

when you think more or less it, it makes no sense.
since when you leave your career by your terms or without your choice, cobra is offered for 18 months to verbs health coverage. you end up paying the entire cost that the prior employer rewarded plus a percentage over that, so actually they come out with a few dollars more.
beside the economy as it is, it may not be uncommon to see more businesses move about under and many more society like yourself in like situation.

other than that, name your insurance department and inquire about options due to employment going out of business.

the 2nd one is the US Dept of Labor FAQ ref cobra continuation. i did not know till today that unless an employer go bankrupt and even if still in business and does not convey health insurance, no cobra is available.
there is a mention on the bottom ref ARRA deed and there are phone numbers that you can call and pose some question.

COBRA doesn't work as you right to be heard because there is no plan to continue. You can draw from coverage on your own if you're healthy which is generally the cheapest opening to go anyway or you automatically qualify for a plan under HIPAA since in attendance is no COBRA. Get a letter from the employer stating that you're not eligible for COBRA because they've gone out of business.
