Medical Information Bureau (MIB) Report - Should I get hold of the report first & next apply for form insurance?

I am applying for private health insurance, am 25 years old and live contained by Illinois. Should I get my MIB report first before applying?
Answers:
No necessitate.
No, I wouldn't recommend doing this. You can obtain copies of your medical records at your doctors bureau and/or call directly to the office and ask what have been sent (or not sent) to the MIB. They may or may not tell you though. Being a health/life insurance agent I find that UNLESS you own any MAJOR health issues or surgeries, getting approved (not rated or denied) is uncomplicated. The best thing to remember is that you should put as much health information (doctors, dr. address, phones numbers, hospitals, etc.) as you possibly can. It goes through their Underwriting (approval process where they check out your medical information, income, etc.) a unharmed lot quicker if they don't have to search for information. Anymore question, feel free to contact me. Good luck!
kaboodle777, Health insurance can be terribly tricky. Since I live in Florida I'm not familiar near the Illinois regulations, so I suggest you visit a local health insurance agent. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Health-Insurance.html They will know how to assist you.
Why?

There is no need and if you've never applied for any type of insurance you won't be in their database anyway.
There is no need to verbs your own MIB report. This report is designed for insurance companies to use and not consumers.
